Whistler August 2007 - Summer Continues!

Whistler Events & Activities - August 2007

Whistler has a taste of summer and it smells like barbecue! Maybe it's the Canadian BBQ Championships serving up burgers, ribs and chili for cash prizes, bragging rights and an entry to the World BBQ Championships in Tennessee. Or maybe it's down the road in Pemberton at Feast of Fields with some of British Columbia's finest chefs, farmers, winemakers celebrating local culinary delights in the shadow of stunning Mount Currie.

August is the perfect time to sample the best of B.C.'s summer's bounty and Whistler's more than 90 restaurants, bars and patios will also serve it up just right with tastes from all over the world. What better way to top off a sunny day hiking Whistler's picturesque peaks, taking a dip in one of Whistler's swim-perfect freshwater lakes, taking in the 360 degree views from the comfort of your gondola, ripping up the singletrack, cruising the family-friendly valley trail bike routes, ziplining through old-growth forests, or painting the stunning alpine vistas?
