Whistler's Springs Into May
Whistler's Snow & Sun Month - May 2007
Discover May - one of the most special, yet largely undiscovered, times of year in Whistler. While skiing is wrapped
up for the season on Whistler Mountain, Blackcomb Mountain remains open for skiing and snowboarding through June 3,
and then throughout the summer on Blackcomb's glacier.

Whistler's spectacular championship golf courses will be open by early May, marking the beginning of a unique three-month
period each year where visitors can ski and golf - all on the same day. Add in some mountain biking in the Whistler
Mountain Bike Park, opening daily starting May 19, and you've got a triathlon of activities, Whistler-style. For those
interested in the more traditional swim-bike-run version of the triathlon, there's the Try-A-Tri and Whistler Kids of Steel
Triathlon as well as the popular 16th Annual Whistler Valley Trail Run.

Golf Season Begins - May 4, 2007
Canada's premier golf destination is set for golf season. Some courses have already begun their season, with all Whistler's
spectacular championship golf courses slated to be open by May 4, 2007. While all Whistler golf courses offer fresh alpine
air, stunning views and a variety of indigenous wildlife spectators, independently, each course stands on its own.

Park Rider Series - May 13, 2007
Blackcomb Mountain hosts the final edition in the 2006/07 Park Rider Series with Rail Jam starting at 10:30a.m. on May
13. Helmets are mandatory for this fun and friendly amateur competition, open to all ages. Video playback, draw prizes
and awards will be presented afterwards at 18 Below, Blackcomb Base II with all competitors present eligible to win.

Whistler Kids of Steel Triathlon 2007 - May 26, 2007
Whistler counts many athletes amongst its local population, both amateur and professional, whether it's skiing, golfing,
triathlon or any other number of outdoor sports and activities. Here's one just for the kids. The Whistler Kids of Steel
Triathlon is open to children aged eight and over, featuring swim, bike and run events at Meadow Park Sports Centre on

The 16th Annual Whistler Valley Trail Run - May 27, 2007
A spring favourite for Whistler locals, the 16th annual Whistler Valley Trial Run returns this May with two distances and
a new route through Whistler's famous Lost Lake Trail system, part of the 30 kilometre Whistler Valley Trail. Both 5k and
10k distances will be raced this year as well as the Teddy Bear Trot for kids aged 10 and under. On-site babysitting, post-run
snacks and locally-sponsored prizes and awards are features of this family fun run on Sunday, May 27. Race proceeds benefit
