Whistler Blackcomb has had a busy year; with last season's second largest snowfall on record, the opening of the Symphony Express high-speed quad lift in December 2006 and the construction launch of the world-record breaking Peak to Peak Gondola, set to span Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. Whistler Blackcomb is pleased to present an open house, showcasing all that is new and exciting. The community is welcome to come by Legend's in Creekside between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Held on Thursdays throughout the season, the Kokanee Valley Race Series is open to skiers, telemarkers and snowboarders with a number of different gender and age divisions. No racing experience is required to join in on the fun of recreational racing. All you need is the desire to participate and Whistler Blackcomb will look after the rest.
Park Rider Series: Rail Jam on Whistler

Park Rider Sessions featuring Slopestyle, Rail Jams and Halfpipe will take place throughout the season on both mountains utilizing the best terrain available, starting December 16. Competitions open to skiers and snowboarders, all ages welcome. Helmets are mandatory.

The Whistler Holiday Experience, running daily* from December 21 through January 5, is an exciting new family fun zone located centrally at the TELUS Whistler Conference Centre. The King of the Rail and Queen of the Rail return December 29 for another season of rail jam contests which run on selected Saturday nights under the Magic Chair on Blackcomb. King of the Rail contests are for both guys and girls, while Queen of the Rail contests are for girls only. Separate categories for snowboarders and skiers, male and female and adult and youth.
First Night Whistler

Whistler's First Night is the legendary come one come all New Year's Eve Celebration that takes over Whistler's pedestrian only Village Stroll and the TELUS Whistler Conference Centre to say goodbye to the old and to welcome the new. The 18th annual family friendly, alcohol-free evening promotes a "Celebration of the Arts" and this year's event features an inspiring program of great live music, art workshops and street entertainment for people of all ages. The lively energy that is First Night gets underway at 6 p.m. on December 31, 2007 which leaves just enough time to explore and experience the celebration in its entirety before the fireworks erupt and January 1, 2008 is upon us.
