Whistler Mountain has opened on Saturday November 17 for the 2007/08 ski season!

The Mountain opens with 1,200 acres of skiable terrain with 1,821 vertical feet of lift access. The Mountain reports a 183 centimetre / 72 inches at Pig Alley. Lift tickets for the opening weekend are $56.

All mountain services are open including guest services, food and beverage, ski and snowboard school, rental, repairs and retail operations.

Blackcomb Mountain, Whistler Mountain's sister peak, is scheduled to open Thursday November 22.

[Whistler Mountain notes that it's still early season so some unmarked rocks and obstacles may be on open runs. They also note that open terrain is recommended for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders. Plus all Operations are dependent on weather and subject to change.]
